• Strategic Brand Planning & Execution in North America
• Narrative Campaign Design: Create and implement marketing campaigns that emphasize storytelling rather than transactional advertising, ensuring that every interaction reflects our studio’s distinct identity.
• North America Market Leadership: Act as the primary leader for all marketing efforts in North America, adapting global strategies to connect with local Gen Z and "INFP" audiences.
• Lifecycle Management: Formulate detailed brand plans for SKY and seasonal expansions, overseeing the entire journey from reveal to live operations.
• Budget & KPI Management: Manage the North American marketing budget and set KPIs to evaluate emotional engagement and community well-being in addition to traditional growth metrics.
• Community-First Advocacy
• Champion of the Player: Serve as the internal advocate for the community, ensuring that marketing strategies are rooted in actual player behavior and nurture positive relationships.
• Authenticity Management: Review all creative and communications to ensure they are organic and respectful, steering clear of "ad-speak" that might alienate our loyal player base.
• Creator & Influencer Collaboration: Collaborate with creators who authentically align with our values, emphasizing genuine integration over purely paid placements.
• Creative Collaboration & Brand Legacy
• Creative Team Synergy: Work closely with the creative team to establish distinctive campaign aesthetics, visual directions, and creative platforms.
• Legacy Building: Create strategic initiatives that foster a lasting brand legacy, ensuring each campaign adds to the enduring identity and cultural influence of thatgamecompany.
• Innovation & Agile Marketing
• Pioneer New Platforms: Explore unconventional channels to engage players where they are.
• Fail Fast Mentality: Encourage a culture of rapid experimentation, leveraging data-driven insights to swiftly adjust and enhance campaigns.
• Project Management & Operational Excellence
• Project Management: Oversee complex marketing projects from conception to execution, maintaining organized workflows and ensuring cross-functional alignment.
• Efficiency & Workflow Optimization: Partner with the Head of Brand & North America Marketing to establish and enhance efficiencies and workflows among cross-functional teams.
• Strategic Partnerships & Licensing
• Licensing & Partnerships: Identify and oversee strategic licensing opportunities that expand the studio’s brand and intellectual property into new consumer markets, ensuring that all collaborations align with our core values and uphold authenticity.
• Experience: A minimum of 8 years in Brand Marketing or Product Management within the video game industry, ideally with a focus on live-service or mobile gaming.
• Storytelling Prowess: A demonstrated history of developing marketing campaigns that convey a compelling narrative and evoke genuine emotions.
• Community Core: A "community-first" approach with a deep understanding of player needs and a commitment to authenticity.
• Market Expertise: In-depth knowledge of the North American gaming landscape and the behavior of the Gen Z audience.
• Agility: A proven history of innovative thinking and the ability to learn from unsuccessful experiments.
• Project Management: Established track record of managing multiple simultaneous projects with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
