📋 Description

• Implement diverse go-to-market strategies for a multi-tiered brand portfolio that includes both premium and value brands.

• Establish and safeguard each brand’s identity within the portfolio—ensuring that the premium line conveys "culture and exclusivity" while the value line represents "community and accessibility".

• Create lifecycle marketing strategies aimed at customer retention. Segment audiences to promote "drops" to premium buyers and "bundles" to value buyers.

• Manage the brand presence on our owned websites and optimize visibility and ranking across third-party marketplaces (Leafly, Weedmaps, iHeartJane).

• Direct retail merchandising strategies across both 1st and 3rd party locations to secure a robust brand presence and enhance the physical shelf experience.

• Supervise merchandising execution in Story Dispensaries to ensure company brands are featured prominently through compelling displays, product storytelling, and effective budtender training.

• Design and manage trade marketing kits and merchandising tools that enhance brand visibility and capture share-of-mind within partner and competitor dispensaries.

• Spearhead strategy for brand activations, encompassing industry trade shows, consumer-focused pop-ups, and music/culture events.

• Identify and negotiate strategic partnerships (collaborations) and oversee co-op marketing budgets to maximize outreach.

• Supervise the production of high-value content that drives organic traffic and enhances domain authority for our specific brand keywords.

• Lead regional market strategies across Maryland, Arizona, and new markets by actively engaging with local dispensaries, analyzing competitive landscapes, developing challenger strategies, and crafting scalable brand playbooks for future market introductions.

• Propel portfolio strategy across all tiers by aligning SKU decisions with Operations and Cultivation, executing distinct launch strategies, and guiding packaging and form-factor development to enhance shelf appeal while ensuring compliance with state regulations.

• Own market intelligence and performance analytics by utilizing cannabis data platforms to monitor real-time share, pricing trends, and competitor activities, while managing KPIs such as sales velocity and market share, and evaluating the impact of pricing adjustments on tier performance.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related discipline is preferred.

• Over 6 years of brand management experience, with at least 3 years specifically in the Cannabis or CPG sectors.

• Proven experience managing the complete marketing mix, including CRM/Loyalty, SEO/Web, and Retail Merchandising.

• Demonstrated capability to manage a "House of Brands" with multiple pricing tiers (Premium vs. Economy) concurrently.

• Experience with cannabis data platforms or CPG analytics tools (Headset, BDSA, Alpine IQ) is highly desirable.

• Strong comprehension of the differences between mature markets (AZ) and license-capped/high-growth markets (MD).

• Willingness to travel frequently within our Arizona and Maryland markets.
