Senior Bookkeeper

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Oversee the daily bookkeeping operations using Xero

• Conduct bank and account reconciliations

• Ensure the general ledger records are accurate

• Prepare and manage job-level profit and loss statements

• Monitor project expenses, revenue, and profitability

• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable

• Process payroll with precision and timeliness

• Assist in the preparation and submission of BAS

• Track and reconcile payments to subcontractors

• Keep an eye on outstanding invoices and follow up on overdue accounts

• Support supplier and customer payment inquiries or disputes

• Investigate and resolve any discrepancies

• Provide financial insights and reports to the Business Owner

• Assist with various finance and bookkeeping tasks as needed

• Identify ways to enhance bookkeeping processes and efficiency

• Work according to Australian business hours, roughly 9 AM–5 PM Monday to Friday, for effective collaboration

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 2 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably supporting an Australian business

• Strong hands-on experience with Xero

• Capability to manage bookkeeping autonomously from the outset

• Familiarity with bank reconciliations

• Experience in maintaining a general ledger

• Proficiency in job-level P&L and profitability assessment

• Knowledge of accounts payable and receivable practices

• Experience handling payroll

• Familiarity with BAS procedures

• Experience in managing subcontractor payments

• Good understanding of Australian bookkeeping standards

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

• Strong problem-solving abilities and communication skills
