Senior BI Analyst – Tableau, SQL, Healthcare Analytics, Client Reporting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Facilitate sessions for gathering requirements with both internal stakeholders and external clients to establish reporting goals, KPIs, and data needs.

• Convert requirements into formalized reporting specifications, detailing data definitions, calculation methods, business rules, and acceptance criteria.

• Oversee the management of requirements through stakeholder evaluations, testing phases, and final approval processes.

• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of data in reports and dashboards using SQL.

• Examine discrepancies and reconcile outcomes across source systems and the data warehouse.

• Create and execute validation test cases; document inconsistencies and collaborate on remediation with BI Engineers and data custodians.

• Establish repeatable procedures for validation and quality assurance.

• Design, develop, and sustain Tableau dashboards and reports focusing on operational performance, patient services program metrics, and client-specific KPIs.

• Generate Salesforce reports and dashboards as required.

• Implement data visualization best practices utilizing curated datasets and approved data models.

• Conduct user acceptance testing, coordinate approvals from stakeholders, assist in deployment, and maintain reporting documentation.

• Act as the main point of contact between business stakeholders, external clients, and BI Engineering.

• Specify requirements for new data elements and any enhancements needed.

• Support reporting governance through standardized KPI definitions, documented business rules, and consistent dashboard design.

• Ensure the proper management of protected health information (PHI).

• Optimize recurring reporting processes and provide support for new patient services program launches.

• Educate stakeholders on the use of dashboards and self-service reporting.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or reporting, with a proven track record of ownership over reporting deliverables.

• Strong expertise in gathering and documenting business and reporting requirements with internal stakeholders and/or external clients.

• Proficient in Tableau, with hands-on experience in creating interactive dashboards, calculated fields, filters, and parameters.

• Strong SQL skills, including experience with data validation and the reconciliation of reporting results.

• Demonstrated experience in data quality validation and the ability to translate business needs into clear specifications, KPI definitions, and acceptance criteria.

• Capable of independently managing deliverables from the initial requirements gathering through development, testing, and stakeholder acceptance.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Ability to handle competing priorities and produce results in a fully remote, fast-paced environment.

• Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience.

• Must be capable of lifting up to 15 pounds occasionally.

• Flexibility in working hours to accommodate activities across EST to PST time zones.

• Direct experience with external clients to define and deliver reporting requirements is preferred.

• Experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, patient services, or other regulated industries reporting is preferred.

• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and PHI handling is preferred.

• Experience with Salesforce CRM reporting and dashboards is preferred.

• Knowledge of Snowflake or other cloud data warehouses is preferred.

• Working knowledge of dbt and Fivetran is preferred.

• Experience in developing reporting templates, data dictionaries, or KPI definitions, or in automating recurring reporting and validation is preferred.

• Certifications in Tableau, Salesforce, or Business Analysis are a plus.
