Business Intelligence Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level dashboards, scorecards, and reports.

• Construct and uphold semantic models, data marts, and reporting datasets.

• Create KPIs, metrics, and executive reporting aligned with the goals of the organization.

• Collaborate with business units to interpret reporting requirements into scalable analytics solutions.

• Enhance self-service analytics by providing reusable datasets, comprehensive documentation, and user-friendly reporting mechanisms.

• Design, develop, and implement workflow automations.

• Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements.

• Assess emerging technologies, including AI-assisted tools.

• Monitor and refine automated solutions.

• Develop and maintain secure integrations between applications, databases, APIs, cloud services, and reporting platforms.

• Design ETL/ELT processes.

• Optimize SQL queries, data models, and data pipelines.

• Support data governance initiatives through metadata management, data quality standards, and thorough documentation.

• Ensure that solutions are compliant with security, privacy, and governance standards.

• Implement role-based security measures and access controls.

• Provide advice to business leaders regarding reporting, analytics, and automation opportunities.

• Lead workshops and offer technical guidance and mentorship.

• Develop documentation, training materials, and best practice guidelines.

• Work collaboratively with infrastructure, development, security, and business teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient understanding of business intelligence, data modeling, and reporting principles and best practices.

• Familiarity with SQL, relational database architectures, and data integration processes (ETL/ELT).

• Knowledge of contemporary analytics, data visualization, and workflow automation platforms.

• Understanding of data governance, information security, and privacy requirements.

• Insight into business process analysis, workflow design, and automation methodologies.

• Proficiency in developing interactive dashboards, reports, and semantic data models.

• Ability to design and implement automated workflows.

• Competence in writing, optimizing, and troubleshooting SQL queries and integrating data from various systems and sources.

• Skill in analyzing business requirements and converting them into technical solutions.

• Capability to present and convey technical concepts to both business and non-technical stakeholders.

• Expertise in troubleshooting and resolving reporting, data quality, and integration challenges.

• Ability to address complex business issues and devise data-driven solutions.

• Capability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Capacity to handle sensitive information and implement secure, compliant solutions.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• 3–7 years of experience in developing business intelligence, analytics, or data solutions.

• Practical experience in creating dashboards and reports using a modern BI platform.
