Senior Backend Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of the complete delivery process for significant product updates.

• Oversee the release lifecycle, ensuring that high-impact features are reliably deployed and that peak production performance is maintained.

• Utilize AI tools like Claude to expedite boilerplate tasks and execution while maintaining control over code logic, security, and architecture.

• Collaborate with product teams to enhance and integrate AI functionalities within the Archy platform.

• Work alongside the Frontend team to connect the Java Spring Boot backend with the React/TypeScript frontend.

• Engage in code reviews, offering and receiving constructive feedback.

• Identify and implement strategies to enhance team efficiency.

• Estimate and plan development tasks to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.

• Mentor fellow team members, ensuring the technical integrity, stability, and scalability of production systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

• 6+ years of experience in a backend engineering role.

• Strong emphasis on producing clean, high-quality code.

• Familiarity with Java Spring Boot or similar frameworks.

• Proven experience in successfully launching high-traffic features or major platform migrations.

• In-depth understanding of using AI tools as collaborative aids without compromising code quality or problem-solving capabilities.

• A strong focus on testing, stability, and performance.

• Customer-oriented outlook with an emphasis on the operational needs of dental practices.

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

• Willingness to accept feedback and appreciation for diverse voices and talents.
