Senior Backend Engineer, Platform Readiness

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and enhance the Core Agentic Workflow and Requirements Agent on the Duo Agent Platform.

• Develop the platform's requirements knowledge base, including schema design, validation tools, and continuous integration systems.

• Create integration interfaces across issues, merge requests, design documents, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, and Data platform teams to transform expertise into structured requirements and validation logic.

• Design quality-control feedback mechanisms to reveal assessment errors, overlooked gaps, and content drift.

• Assess and improve the accuracy of evaluations and the relevance of guidance.

• Mentor engineers on agentic-workflow standards, prompt discipline, evaluation methods, and human-AI collaboration.

• Contribute to technical documentation and architectural decision records.

• Establish the technical direction for the newly formed Platform Readiness team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of software engineering experience, including a minimum of 2 years in backend, platform, or developer-facing tools.

• Strong expertise in TypeScript/Node, Python, or Golang.

• Proven experience in delivering developer-facing tools for engineering users.

• Familiarity with GitLab-style workflows, such as issues, epics, merge requests, CI/CD, and code review.

• Capability to collaborate across multiple platform teams.

• Experience with structured content systems, schemas, or validation tools.
