Senior Backend Engineer – Offsite Search Optimisation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver search optimization solutions utilizing an internally developed search engine that supports ecommerce platforms.

• Partner with ecommerce organizations to enhance their search and discovery performance metrics.

• Participate in problem-solving initiatives and leverage AI technologies for effective solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in developing and managing production backend services using Python.

• Proficient SQL skills with a strong capability to work with data-intensive systems (analytics, metrics, logging).

• Familiarity with monitoring, alerting, and debugging systems that are user-facing.

• Capacity to deliver maintainable software (including tests, code reviews, and incremental delivery).

• Preferred qualifications include:

• Understanding of SEO principles.

• Experience with APIs and authentication methods (including OAuth2, GA4, and Google Search Analytics API).

• Experience handling non-structured data (such as referrers, canonical URLs, and page types).

• Background in developing data integrations between various products.

• Knowledge of ETL/ELT workflows utilizing PySpark.
