Senior Backend Engineer – Node.js, Go

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.

• Architect and enhance backend systems that support millions of active users.

• Design backend architecture and ensure that systems operate smoothly at scale.

• Develop clean, reliable, and intuitive APIs for frontend engineers.

• Work with intricate data flows, caching mechanisms, and messaging systems.

• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.

• Collaborate with product, frontend, and data teams.

• Deliver solutions rapidly and iterate on backend implementations.

• Introduce innovative ideas, challenge existing assumptions, and elevate backend engineering standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience building backend systems at scale.

• Proficient in Node.js and TypeScript.

• Experience in designing scalable architectures.

• Experience in developing REST APIs.

• Extensive knowledge of PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, and Elasticsearch.

• Practical experience with Redis and RabbitMQ.

• Familiarity with Nginx, Kubernetes, and deployment pipelines.

• Experience with Go and deployment of real Go services, or a willingness to learn Go.

• Capability to work independently in fast-paced environments.

• Ability to work across various areas while maintaining focus on productivity and results.
