This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices that support essential enterprise systems.
• Collaborate closely with product, architecture, and cloud engineering teams.
• Architect and create microservices utilizing Java and Spring Boot.
• Engineer solutions leveraging Google Cloud Platform, including Cloud Run, GKE, Pub/Sub, and BigQuery.
• Generate efficient SQL queries and data pipelines for high-availability systems.
• Implement CI/CD automation using Jenkins and Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform.
• Develop unit tests with JUnit and enhance code quality.
• Lead peer code reviews and promote adherence to engineering standards.
• Provide production support, incident resolution, and perform root-cause analysis.
• Facilitate agile execution and ensure precise work tracking.
• Mentor colleagues and influence engineering best practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
• If lacking a relevant four-year degree, four additional years of pertinent work experience are required.
• Over 13 years of experience in delivering microservices architecture.
• Expert-level proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
• Practical experience with GCP, including Cloud Run, GKE, Pub/Sub, and BigQuery.
• Strong skills in SQL and database performance tuning.
• Experience with Jenkins CI/CD pipelines and Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
• Capability to produce comprehensive JUnit coverage and ensure code quality.
• Experience in conducting peer code reviews and offering actionable feedback.
• Familiarity with agile project tools such as VersionOne or similar platforms.
• Experience in production support, including incident management and troubleshooting.
• Ability to secure and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• U.S. residency is required for the necessary security investigation period.
• Availability for a scheduled 40 hours per week.
• Travel requirements are less than 10%.
