Senior Backend Engineer, Java, Python, GCP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Develop, construct, and implement highly scalable microservices, data pipelines, and APIs utilizing Java, Python, and GCP.

• Enhance and optimize core cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability and fluid data flow.

• Utilize GitHub Copilot to boost development speed and improve code quality.

• Detect, prioritize, and address security vulnerabilities.

• Perform code reviews and advocate for extensive test coverage, clean coding practices, and comprehensive technical documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–8+ years of professional backend engineering experience with a focus on both Java and Python.

• Extensive knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and cloud-native architectures.

• Practical experience in constructing, maintaining, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and fundamental backend systems.

• Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs) and integration patterns for AI/ML backends.

• Experience with AI-assisted development tools, including GitHub Copilot.

• Proven track record in identifying and resolving security vulnerabilities within codebases and dependencies.

• Strong mindset towards Application Security (AppSec).

• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across functions.

• Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English.
