Senior Backend Engineer - Java

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +9 more states.

📋 Description

• Report directly to the Vice President of Engineering

• Work alongside fellow engineers while providing guidance to junior team members

• Create scalable systems and promote the use of AI-assisted coding

• Grasp product requirements and oversee their implementation

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant experience with Java 17+

• Proficient in writing unit tests and integration tests

• Familiarity with relational databases, including indices, connection pools, transactions, and schema design

• Experience with NoSQL databases

• Skill in designing event-driven microservices and Domain-Driven Design (DDD) architecture

• Team-oriented mindset with a focus on mentorship

• Able to thrive in a dynamic startup atmosphere
