Senior Backend Engineer – Databases, Loki Ingest

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +4 more countries.

• Lead projects from the initial concept phase through to operations once they are in the hands of customers.

• Design, develop, operate, and maintain essential systems, taking ownership of their reliability, performance, and availability.

• Participate in your team’s on-call rotations and take responsibility for the services you manage.

• Support fellow team members by engaging in design discussions and collaborating effectively within the team.

• Acquire new skills by deepening your understanding of our cloud product and customers, as well as familiarizing yourself with the codebase of a large distributed system.

⛳️ Requirements

• Solid experience with at least one programming language. We primarily use Go, but familiarity with Python, C, C++, Rust, or similar languages is also valuable.

• Some experience in delivering projects, from gathering requirements and brainstorming ideas to successfully shipping a product to customers independently.

• Experience in developing software that operates in the Cloud or in systems engineering.

• Proven ability to write clean, robust, and efficient software that is easily maintainable by others.
