Senior Backend Engineer – Data and Analytics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Develop and expand the infrastructure for web scraping.

• Utilize LLMs to organize unstructured text from payer policies.

• Establish CI/CD processes and enhance reliability throughout the data pipeline.

• Guarantee the dependable and accurate operation of the data infrastructure.

• Expand the infrastructure with minimal supervision.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in backend software engineering, with a minimum of 3 years in backend-specific roles (not general full-stack positions).

• More than 3 years of professional experience using Python as the main backend programming language.

• Proficient in SQL for relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server), including complex querying and schema design.

• Practical experience with AWS (Azure or GCP experience is applicable) in deploying and managing production services, along with ownership of CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience in constructing and sustaining production data pipelines or ETL systems that process data from inconsistent, messy, or unstructured external sources.

• Proven track record of end-to-end system or architecture ownership in a startup or small engineering team environment (2–15 engineers).

• Proficient in English at a C1+ CEFR level for effective technical communication during video calls with the founder and engineering team.
