Senior Backend Engineer, Attribute Enrichment

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Enhance the e-commerce experience for users by designing, developing, and maintaining scalable services.

• Collaborate with key services such as Attribute Enrichment and Badges.

• Work closely with ML engineers.

• Develop and refine the Attribute Enrichment service.

• Create CI/CD and observability systems from the ground up.

• Sustain and enhance existing systems.

• Deploy highly available services in the cloud.

• Establish service observability and monitoring metrics.

• Write and uphold unit, integration, and end-to-end tests for backend services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience.

• Strong foundation in computer science and familiarity with networking principles.

• Expertise in Python and backend development methodologies.

• Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining high-load real-time services and public APIs.

• Knowledge of NoSQL and relational databases, distributed systems, and caching solutions is a plus.

• Familiarity with any compiled programming language (e.g., Go, Rust) is an advantage.

• Experience in writing unit and integration tests for backend services using frameworks such as Pytest, unittest, or similar.

• Proven ability to collaborate within cross-functional teams.

• Excellent communication skills in English.
