Senior Backend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Design and develop services for vault infrastructure, event indexing across more than 15 chains, risk-calculation data platforms, real-time position tracking, and multi-chain orchestration.

• Take ownership of AWS cloud architecture, encompassing deployment, scaling, graceful failure, and maintainability.

• Create fast, accurate, and auditable data pipelines for intricate multi-protocol DeFi strategies.

• Enhance system observability and operability through monitoring, alerting, runbooks, and an architecture that is friendly for on-call support.

• Design data flows and establish boundaries between on-chain and off-chain systems.

• Author technical design documents and convey architectural tradeoffs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Transition production infrastructure from operations dependent on founders to scalable engineering practices.

• Work collaboratively with the team as a design partner for next-generation platform infrastructure.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with AWS in a production environment at scale.

• Proven track record in designing and managing high-availability production systems that handle real-load scenarios.

• Strong fundamentals in systems engineering.

• Experience in building event-driven architectures, data pipelines, caching layers, and high-throughput API services.

• Proficiency with Terraform, CI/CD, containerization, and Infrastructure as Code.

• Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to write design documents and articulate architectural decisions.

• Background in systems that have scaled beyond their initial design.

• Preferred experience with blockchain data, event indexing, on-chain state tracking, reorgs, and multi-chain consistency.

• Preferred background in DeFi or crypto infrastructure.

• Preferred experience with Rust or Python in data-intensive settings.

• Preferred experience building or operating multi-tenant platforms with isolation guarantees.
