This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create and develop essential platform components, services, and shared libraries utilized by product teams.
• Construct foundational infrastructure that facilitates quicker feature delivery with consistency, reliability, and security.
• Build security-critical services aimed at protecting sensitive data, ensuring secure access, and implementing encryption.
• Design and enhance high-load distributed systems for processing images and videos.
• Enhance the performance, scalability, and fault tolerance of mission-critical platform services.
• Advance monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting functionalities for the observability platform.
• Strategize and carry out large-scale, zero-downtime data migrations.
• Expand and refine multi-region infrastructure to meet latency, availability, and data-residency requirements.
• Lead architectural decisions and oversee platform initiatives from design to production.
• Tackle technically challenging issues across distributed systems, infrastructure, security, and developer productivity.
• Collaborate with various teams and contribute to shared codebases.
• Extensive experience in backend development, Java, databases, and distributed systems.
• Proficient in system design and creating scalable, production-ready solutions.
• Capable of working independently and taking full ownership of complex tasks.
• Knowledgeable about performance, reliability, and best practices for backend services.
• Experience in a product-driven engineering environment.
• Comfortable working collaboratively with other teams and contributing to shared codebases.
• Proficiency in Java 17.
• Familiarity with MongoDB, ClickHouse, and Redis.
• Experience with Apache Kafka and Kafka Streams.
• Knowledge of Elasticsearch or OpenSearch (k-NN).
• Experience with Airflow.
