This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Regularly engage with your team and mentor to accelerate your onboarding process.
• Set up and become acquainted with repositories, task management tools, and the development environment.
• Execute and deliver your initial project.
• Get to know the RevenueCat dashboards, logging and debugging tools, cloud service providers, infrastructure management, and overall system architecture.
• Understand workflows and concepts related to subscription businesses.
• Be capable of independently scoping and executing projects.
• Acquire foundational knowledge in incident response and participate in the on-call rotation.
• Engage in code reviews, and contribute in various ways (such as testing and enhancing visibility) to elevate the reliability and quality of the codebase.
• Gain a comprehensive understanding of all products managed by your team.
• Improve and comprehend several codebases that the team operates on.
• Review code, draft proposals, and take part in architectural discussions.
• Contribute to the team’s roadmap and its technical strategy.
• Become a specialist in a few key areas of focus for your team.
• Have successfully delivered a significant product or feature.
• Be knowledgeable about all major components of our system and be equipped to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Propose your own initiatives for enhancing our products by understanding the current challenges and priorities.
• Be capable of specifying and architecting medium to large projects, gathering feedback, validating designs, and planning rollouts.
• Guide other engineers who join the team.
• Influence the organization to enhance overall reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Over 5 years of experience working as a software engineer, designing and maintaining complex, large, or growing systems.
• Comfortable with writing and debugging SQL.
• Enjoy debugging and identifying the root causes of production issues.
• Passionate about delivering high-quality products.
• Strong proficiency in at least one mainstream programming language.
• Knowledgeable in shipping high-quality code using effective testing practices in iterative cycles.
• Able to collaborate effectively and communicate well in a fully remote work culture.
• Proactive; when you notice something broken, you take action to fix it or suggest improvements.
• Versatile and quick to learn new concepts.
