Senior Backend Engineer

📋 Description

• Job Summary: The objective of this role is to collaborate with internal stakeholders to facilitate technology decisions aimed at transforming software development, enhancing developer productivity, and streamlining solution delivery timelines for our customers.

• Responsibilities:

• - Collaborate with Product teams to create highly scalable, flexible, and resilient software solutions that expedite the delivery timelines of our offerings.

• - Partner with system architects and product owners to redesign our products for deployment on serverless containerized cloud frameworks.

• - Act as a key contributor in the development and transformation initiatives to boost developer productivity and refine solution delivery timelines for our customers.

• - Ensure that our products and solutions adhere to code quality, application security, accessibility standards, and are 508 compliant.

• - Conduct code reviews to ensure compliance with the Company's standards and best practices, providing constructive feedback for developers.

• - Assist in recruiting new talent, onboarding, and training staff on Company development tools, processes, and standards.

• - Contribute to Business Development efforts (e.g., responding to RFP technical requirements, estimating development efforts, supporting demonstrations, etc.).

• - Operate within clearly defined guidelines to support system design, develop and implement new templates, and maintain or modify existing templates as necessary.

• - Collaborate with the Development team and Business Analysis team to comprehend system design and functionality.

• - Develop templates according to system design and coding standards with minimal supervision and carry out unit testing.

• - Analyze code for errors and participate in review sessions.

• - Create and maintain project artifacts as required.

• - Communicate technical impacts, root causes, and corrective actions effectively to team leads and management.

• - Conduct gap analyses and assess the impact of changes in system software.

• - Engage in Proof of Concepts and new initiatives.

• - Read, comprehend, and comply with all corporate policies, including those related to HIPAA and its Privacy and Security Rules.

⛳️ Requirements

• Required Qualifications:

• - A BS in Computer Science or a related field, along with 5+ years of software development experience.

• - Proficiency in troubleshooting technical issues with both standard and custom programs.

• - Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC).

• - Experience with agile development methodologies.

• Preferred Qualifications:

• - Strong ability to work collaboratively within teams.

• - Highly organized with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• - Adaptable to changes in projects and tasks, with the ability to multitask.

• - Capable of working within project plans and meeting deadlines.

• - Demonstrates strong analytical skills and critical thinking.

• - Experience in the Healthcare domain would be considered a plus.

• - Familiarity with COTS products (such as COGNOS, CRM, IVR, Oracle E-Business Suite, IBM DataStage, IBM Watson Analytics, Salesforce, PEGA, MuleSoft, Document Management Tools like FileNet and SharePoint, Oracle SOA, Pitney Bowes - EngageOne, EDIFECS - XEngine).

• - Significant experience in implementing end-to-end solutions using a COTS product.

• - Proficient in addressing complex issues with customizations of COTS tools.

• - Experience in integrating COTS solutions with large-scale web applications and relational databases.

• - Skilled in working with single sign-on (SSO) integration for enterprise applications.

• - Good understanding of application integration with identity and access management (IAM) tools.

• - Experienced in identifying security issues with tools and resolving vulnerabilities in web applications.

• - Proficient in the design and implementation of COTS tools.

• - Well-versed in both functional and technical aspects of COTS tools.

• - Capable of overseeing the implementation of any COTS products.

• - Experienced in managing escalations with third-party vendors for resolution.
