Senior Backend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Asia.

📋 Description

• Develop and deploy backend services that support our financial products — including APIs, automation pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.

• Take full ownership of features: analyze the problem, design a solution, deliver quickly, and iterate based on actual usage.

• Influence the technical direction — champion improved patterns, tools, and developer experiences.

• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define solutions rather than merely executing specifications.

• Produce clean, dependable code at a rapid pace — prioritizing both quality and speed.

• Elevate team standards through code reviews, providing technical insights, and leading by example.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of experience delivering backend systems in production — including APIs, services, and cloud infrastructure.

• Strong foundational knowledge in at least one of our primary programming languages (TypeScript, Python, PHP).

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS and/or GCP), containerization, and CI/CD practices.

• Ability to work independently: you take responsibility for a problem and drive it forward.

• Practical judgment regarding architecture versus deploying and learning.

• Effective communicator capable of articulating trade-offs and advocating for their approach.
