Senior Backend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain scalable backend APIs utilizing Python and Node.js.

• Create API integrations that export and implement translated content using XLIFF.

• Diagnose and resolve issues related to content models, identifiers, and integration edge cases.

• Formulate solutions for structured content transformation across various services.

• Work in close collaboration with product managers, frontend engineers, and cross-functional teams to provide dependable backend solutions.

• Ensure the production of high-quality, maintainable, and thoroughly tested code that adheres to backend engineering best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4-5+ years of experience in backend software development.

• Strong practical expertise in Python and Node.js.

• Demonstrated experience in designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs.

• In-depth understanding of API integration and backend service architecture.

• Experience with structured content, document transformation, or data processing.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Nice to Have

• Experience with XLIFF and localization workflows.

• Familiarity with the Okapi Framework.

• Experience with XML and similar structured markup formats.

• Exposure to content management or localization platforms.

• Relevant certifications in backend development or localization technologies.

• Candidate must be willing to work from 6pm-3am (Monday to Friday).
