Senior Backend Developer, Python, Django

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain backend services

• Create dependable product APIs, manage billing, back-office tasks, and internal administrative tools

• Design PostgreSQL schemas and oversee migrations

• Ensure data consistency and enhance the performance of complex queries

• Utilize Redis for caching, task management, rate limiting, and operational state management

• Construct reporting and event-processing workflows using ClickHouse

• Execute migrations and schema updates across Django and Alembic services

• Enhance monitoring, logging, alert systems, and debugging processes

• Collaborate with product, frontend, infrastructure, and support teams to ensure secure and reliable feature releases

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in both Russian and English (B2+)

• Significant commercial experience with Python 3

• Practical experience with Django and a thorough understanding of its ecosystem

• Strong skills in PostgreSQL, including schema design, indexing, migrations, and query optimization

• Experience with Redis for caching, queues, locks, and high-load product implementations

• Proficient in managing migrations using Django migrations and Alembic

• Experience in designing APIs, background tasks, and internal administrative tools

• Knowledge of observability practices, including logging, monitoring, and incident analysis

• Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD processes, and production deployment

• Commitment to testing and ensuring critical system paths are predictable

• Ability to write in Go or read it confidently

• Basic knowledge of the network stack

• Experience in transforming complex legacy systems into well-architected solutions

• Must not reside in or work from the specified sanctioned countries and regions
