Senior Backend Developer, Python

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain backend microservices utilizing Python, adhering to best practices in architecture and scalability.

• Take ownership of the entire service lifecycle: design, implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring.

• Define and refine architectural patterns to ensure the system's scalability, reliability, and maintainability.

• Collaborate with architects, DevOps, and other engineering teams to create technical solutions that align with business objectives.

• Identify performance bottlenecks and spearhead optimization initiatives across services.

• Ensure code quality through testing, code reviews, and compliance with engineering best practices.

• Contribute to technical decision-making regarding infrastructure, tools, and system design.

• Support the establishment of API contracts and integration patterns among services.

• Engage in incident response and troubleshooting for production systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Backend Developer, with a strong command of Python.

• Extensive experience in designing, building, and maintaining microservices architectures.

• Profound understanding of scalability, distributed systems, and high-availability design patterns.

• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Experience with cloud service providers such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.

• Strong knowledge of RESTful API design and asynchronous communication patterns (message queues, event-driven architecture).

• Proficiency with relational and/or NoSQL databases.

• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.

• Experience working within agile teams and collaborating with multiple stakeholders.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to perform in demanding, high-compliance environments (experience in the financial/banking industry is an advantage).
