Senior Backend Developer, Java/Spring Boot

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Develop clean, testable, and efficient Java code utilizing Spring Boot.

• Create and maintain REST APIs and backend services.

• Design and implement services within distributed systems.

• Utilize Domain-Driven Design principles effectively.

• Design, optimize, and manage PostgreSQL database schemas.

• Construct asynchronous workflows and integrations through event-driven architecture.

• Assume responsibility for specific backend modules.

• Work collaboratively with frontend developers, QA, DevOps, product managers, and designers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in backend engineering.

• Proficient in Java 21 (LTS), Spring Boot 3.2+, and PostgreSQL.

• Experience with Event-Driven Architecture and Domain-Driven Design (DDD).

• Fluent in English; proficiency in Spanish is a significant advantage.

• Background in Fintech, SaaS, HR, Payroll, ERP, e-commerce, logistics, retail, AI-enabled products, or complex B2B platforms is highly desirable.
