Senior Backend Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Sweden.

📋 Description

• Play a key role in modernizing a customer's application ecosystem by transitioning to a web-based microservices architecture hosted on Microsoft Azure.

• Convert business needs into scalable, maintainable, and secure backend solutions that are aligned with business objectives.

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend business logic, microservices, REST APIs, services, and integrations utilizing .NET and/or Java.

• Establish reliable data access and persistence through the use of Oracle, PL/SQL, and/or PostgreSQL.

• Facilitate automated build, testing, deployment, and DevOps practices leveraging CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Terraform, observability, monitoring, and performance optimization.

• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, frontend and DevOps engineers, and other stakeholders to achieve comprehensive application capabilities.

• Employ AI/LLM-assisted development tools when applicable.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in backend development.

• Strong practical expertise in at least one major technology stack: .NET or Java.

• Robust understanding of enterprise application architecture.

• Proven experience in designing and developing backend business logic, REST APIs, integrations, and microservices-based solutions.

• Familiarity with relational databases such as Oracle, PL/SQL, and/or PostgreSQL.

• Experience in data modeling, query development, performance optimization, and ensuring data integrity.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and cloud-native development methodologies.

• Exposure to CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Terraform, automated testing, observability, monitoring, and secure coding practices.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with business, architecture, frontend, and DevOps teams in an agile environment.

• A valid Swedish work permit and/or Swedish residency is required.

• Identity verification through the inspection of an ID card; background checks may be conducted as necessary.
