Senior Backend and Integration Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Serve as the main technical contact between Marketing and Enterprise IT, converting business needs into scalable and secure technical solutions.

• Design, construct, and uphold back-end services, APIs, and automated solutions to enhance operations and minimize manual maintenance efforts.

• Create and maintain secure middleware and backend-for-frontend (BFF) services for seamless integration with DaVita enterprise systems (such as Fuse and internal APIs).

• Assist in executing cloud database migrations and modernizing architecture to resolve existing business and technical challenges.

• Develop, implement, and sustain strong integrations between our digital platforms and Salesforce to facilitate marketing automation, lead routing, and CRM initiatives.

• Aid in database interactions and data management tasks within Microsoft SQL Server and Google Cloud SQL environments.

• Enhance application security, risk compliance, and back-end performance while strictly adhering to OWASP best practices.

• Offer technical leadership and mentorship, influencing technical architecture decisions, CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, and shared engineering standards.

• Work closely with Product Managers, UX/UI Designers, and cross-functional teams using Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field preferred (or equivalent professional experience).

• Over 7 years of professional software development experience focusing on back-end engineering, middleware, and systems integration.

• Profound technical expertise in developing Node.js middleware and API integration layers.

• Extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including BigQuery and Cloud SQL.

• Advanced skills in SQL database design, querying, management, and executing cloud database migrations.

• Thorough understanding of the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
