Senior Azure Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• Create highly available networking solutions within Azure, GCP, and on-premises environments.

• Develop monitoring solutions utilizing KQL, Azure Workbooks, Alerts, and Azure Connection Monitor.

• Enhance network security architecture through Azure Firewall Premium, Network Security Groups, and micro-segmentation.

• Implement Infrastructure as Prompt as a key strategic platform capability.

• Design governance frameworks using Azure Policies, Blueprints, and enterprise governance standards.

• Formulate decentralized network management models while ensuring security is not compromised.

• Create disaster recovery plans, automated failover testing, and recovery simulations.

• Integrate Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, and network telemetry for automated threat detection and response.

• Work collaboratively with infrastructure, cloud, and security teams on troubleshooting, connectivity, and routing issues.

• Convert technical concepts into architectural recommendations and decision documents.

• Investigate Zero Trust Network Access technologies such as Microsoft Entra Private Access and Global Secure Access.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive knowledge in Azure networking, covering Azure Firewall, ExpressRoute, Virtual WAN, BGP, Private Link, and enterprise Hub & Spoke architectures.

• Proficient with Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, KQL, Azure Monitor, and cloud observability.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Prompt, AI-assisted infrastructure management, and intelligent network automation.

• Familiarity with Google Cloud networking, Sophos Firewall, or enterprise on-premises networking is preferred.

• Enthusiasm for acquiring new technologies and sharing insights with others.

• Capability to simplify complex networking concepts for diverse audiences.

• Skill in assisting engineering teams to develop secure and scalable solutions.
