Senior Azure Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• Create highly reliable Azure networking solutions across Azure, GCP, and on-premises settings.

• Develop monitoring systems utilizing KQL, Azure Workbooks, Alerts, and Azure Connection Monitor.

• Enhance network security through Azure Firewall Premium, Network Security Groups, micro-segmentation, and adherence to enterprise standards.

• Implement Infrastructure as Prompt alongside Infrastructure as Code.

• Design governance frameworks using Azure Policies, Blueprints, and enterprise governance standards.

• Formulate decentralized network management strategies while ensuring security.

• Devise disaster recovery plans, automated failover testing, and recovery simulations.

• Integrate Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, and network telemetry for detecting and responding to cyber threats.

• Work collaboratively with infrastructure, cloud, and security teams to resolve troubleshooting, connectivity, and routing issues.

• Prepare architectural advice and decision documentation.

• Investigate Zero Trust Network Access technologies, including Microsoft Entra Private Access and Global Secure Access.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive knowledge in Azure networking, including Azure Firewall, ExpressRoute, Virtual WAN, BGP, Private Link, and enterprise Hub & Spoke architectures.

• Proficient in Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, KQL, Azure Monitor, and cloud observability.

• Capability to create intelligent monitoring systems, automate threat detection, and proactively address security incidents.

• Interest in Infrastructure as Prompt, AI-enhanced infrastructure management, and intelligent network automation.

• Experience with Google Cloud networking, Sophos Firewall, or enterprise on-premises networking is preferred.

• Enthusiasm for learning new technologies, sharing knowledge, simplifying complex networking concepts, and assisting engineering teams in developing secure, scalable solutions.
