Senior Azure Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• Create highly available networking solutions in Azure, GCP, and on-premises environments.

• Develop monitoring solutions utilizing KQL, Azure Workbooks, Alerts, and Azure Connection Monitor.

• Enhance network security architecture through Azure Firewall Premium, Network Security Groups, and micro-segmentation.

• Implement Infrastructure as Prompt capabilities in conjunction with Infrastructure as Code.

• Formulate governance guardrails using Azure Policies, Blueprints, and enterprise governance standards.

• Innovate decentralized network management strategies without sacrificing security.

• Create disaster recovery plans, automated failover testing, and recovery simulations.

• Integrate Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, and network telemetry to detect, investigate, and respond to cyber threats.

• Work collaboratively with infrastructure, cloud, and security teams on troubleshooting, connectivity, and routing.

• Enhance connectivity across Azure, GCP, and on-premises environments.

• Convert technical concepts into architectural recommendations and decision-making documents.

• Investigate Zero Trust Network Access technologies, including Microsoft Entra Private Access and Global Secure Access.


⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of Azure networking, including Azure Firewall, ExpressRoute, Virtual WAN, BGP, Private Link, and enterprise Hub & Spoke architectures.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, KQL, Azure Monitor, and cloud observability.

• Proven experience in developing intelligent monitoring systems, automating threat detection, and proactively addressing security incidents.

• Enthusiasm for emerging technologies such as Infrastructure as Prompt, AI-assisted infrastructure management, and intelligent network automation.

• Experience with Google Cloud networking, Sophos Firewall, or enterprise on-premises networking is preferred.

• A strong desire to learn new technologies, share knowledge, and simplify complex networking subjects.

• Capability to assist engineering teams in creating secure and scalable solutions.
