Senior AWS Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Oversee and enhance extensive Data Engineering platforms.

• Create scalable, reusable solutions that can be deployed across various countries and business settings.

• Develop and sustain Data Engineering platforms utilizing the AWS Native stack.

• Design and implement generalized, reusable components following contemporary Python practices.

• Employ object-oriented programming principles to construct maintainable and scalable data-processing solutions.

• Work collaboratively within agile development teams to deliver high-quality solutions on time.

• Diagnose root causes of problems in current data and suggestion-generation pipelines.

• Execute robust fixes by troubleshooting AWS Step Functions, Glue, Athena, and Lambda.

• Utilize modern Python development tools and engineering practices to ensure code quality, testing, and deployment efficiency.

• Advanced expertise in Python programming.

• Proficient in using pandas for data manipulation and analysis.

• Understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.

• Familiarity with contemporary Python development tools and best practices.

• Experience with AWS Glue for ETL processes.

• Experience with Amazon Athena for data querying.

• Skilled in using DynamoDB for NoSQL data storage.

• Proficient in AWS Step Functions and Lambda for workflow orchestration.

• Strong grasp of AWS-based cloud architectures.

• Experience with agile software development methodologies.

• Familiarity with project management tools like Azure DevOps.

• Experience with CI/CD, version control, and automated testing.

• 5–10 years of data engineering experience, particularly with global or regional project exposure, is desirable.
