Senior AWS Cloud Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and implement North’s Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure to facilitate user and customer support.

• Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure, services, applications, and containers in alignment with industry best practices and corporate strategy.

• Research, assess, and incorporate AI-driven tools and agentic workflows, such as AI-assisted Infrastructure as Code (IaC) development, AIOps telemetry analysis, and automated troubleshooting.

• Utilize infrastructure-as-code to automate processes and ensure consistency, efficiency, and security across the environment.

• Collaborate closely with DevOps teams on deployments, administration, and patch management.

• Offer technical support, advice, mentorship, and assistance to colleagues and cloud engineers.

• Undertake additional responsibilities and projects as directed by management.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• Over 5 years of experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).

• Provide technical direction, mentorship, and assistance to cloud engineers.

• Significant experience in implementing, maintaining, and securing Linux-based systems (preferably Ubuntu and RHEL).

• Extensive experience with Terraform and Ansible.

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer certification is preferred.

• Practical experience with PCI-DSS compliant infrastructure and security controls is preferred.

• Familiarity with multi-cloud deployments, particularly Google Cloud Platform, is preferred.

• Proficiency in scripting/programming languages such as Python, Bash, or Perl is preferred.

• Experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, Subversion, and Git is preferred.
