
Senior Attorney, Litigation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Develop and implement global litigation strategies that align with the company's objectives, values, and risk appetite.
• Oversee litigation and pre-litigation issues from initial case evaluation to resolution.
• Manage investigations, discovery processes, motions, settlement talks, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trials.
• Engage and supervise external counsel, experts, consultants, and vendors.
• Monitor litigation budgets, fees, expenses, and alternative fee arrangements.
• Conduct fact-finding investigations, witness interviews, and evaluations of financial exposure and reputational risk.
• Coordinate electronic discovery, document reviews, witness development, deposition preparations, and litigation holds.
• Draft and revise pleadings, briefs, memoranda, correspondence, and various legal documents.
• Provide guidance to business and legal partners regarding litigation risks, claims, regulations, packaging, and emerging legal issues.
• Manage responses to third-party subpoenas and inquiries or investigations from governmental or regulatory bodies.
• Collaborate with insurance carriers on coverage matters and claims involving insured parties.
• Recognize emerging litigation trends and formulate risk-mitigation strategies, tools, training, and best practices.
• Prepare materials and presentations for discussions at senior leadership and Board meetings.
• Supervise and mentor paralegals and deliver in-house legal training.
• A minimum of 8 years of relevant legal experience.
• Ideally, a blend of experience in law firms and in-house roles with a multinational or publicly traded organization.
• Experience in defending class actions and handling complex commercial litigation.
• Preference for candidates with successful trial experience.
• Familiarity with managing extensive electronic discovery, outside counsel, litigation budgets, and cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience representing companies in the food, consumer packaged goods, or similarly regulated industries is preferred.
• Capability to offer practical, strategic legal counsel in complex litigation and a dynamic regulatory landscape.
• Strong skills in legal writing, contract drafting, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management.
• Ability to devise innovative solutions to intricate legal and business challenges.
• Willingness to travel as necessary.
• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
