Associate Attorney

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mississippi.

📋 Description

• Oversee and manage a substantial and varied caseload of the Firm’s clients in Mississippi.

• Engage with clients regarding their individual cases.

• Prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and agreements.

• Examine agreements thoroughly.

• Negotiate with opposing parties to resolve or settle claims.

• Perform legal research on straightforward and complex issues in contract law and other facets of consumer law.

• Travel for court appearances as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must currently hold a license to practice law in Mississippi.

• A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a law firm setting.

• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities to adhere to strict deadlines.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

• Commitment to the highest ethical standards and professional integrity.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the capacity to collaborate effectively with senior management and colleagues at all levels.

• Proficient legal research skills.

• Familiarity with LexisNexis is advantageous.

• Must reside in or near the Biloxi, Mississippi area.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States, as confirmed by the Firm’s E-Verify participation.
