Senior Attorney – Labor and Corporate Litigation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Oversee and coordinate the company’s litigation portfolio, primarily focusing on labor and employment issues.

• Assist the attorney managing the labor litigation portfolio by organizing case matters, establishing priorities, and tracking developments.

• Keep track of judicial and administrative proceedings of various types, while also providing assistance on civil and tax issues.

• Evaluate, structure, and enhance workflows, controls, and procedures associated with corporate litigation management.

• Supervise and assess external law firms, ensuring high-quality deliverables, adherence to deadlines, and alignment with the company’s objectives.

• Ensure that legal systems and information pertinent to the litigation portfolio are accurately maintained and updated.

• Aid in evaluating risks, case forecasts, contingencies, and litigation strategies in collaboration with external law firms.

• Compile information, metrics, and management reports, enhancing visibility into the portfolio for legal leadership.

• Spot opportunities for enhancement and execute best practices in litigation management.

• Collaborate effectively with the in-house legal team, external law firms, and various stakeholders within the company.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree and active membership in the São Paulo State Bar Association (OAB/SP).

• Extensive professional experience in labor and employment litigation, including oversight and management of court proceedings.

• Considerable experience within corporate legal departments (in-house), with a strategic and managerial approach to litigation.

• Proven experience managing litigation portfolios, assessing risks and contingencies, and coordinating with external law firms.

• Background in designing, reviewing, or enhancing legal processes, workflows, and controls.

• Capable of managing a multidisciplinary portfolio and supporting various types of matters.

• Advanced proficiency in English for effective communication in a multinational setting.

• Pragmatic, organized, analytical, and proactive in approach.

• Demonstrated autonomy, professional maturity, and the capability to suggest improvements and organize tasks.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
