This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Plan, develop, implement, and document testing processes for embedded, Linux, cloud-edge, real-time, platform, and software-product settings.
• Design and execute tests at the kernel level, BSP level, system level, along with integration, regression, and platform validation tests.
• Diagnose system issues and confirm functionality across various platforms and configurations.
• Record defects and work collaboratively with engineering teams to facilitate resolutions.
• Assist with verification and validation, test planning, defect management, code validation, certification artifacts, audit evidence, and support for certification reviews.
• Collaborate with software engineering, DevOps, product management, support, certification, and delivery teams.
• Keep documentation updated for test cases, test outcomes, defects, validation findings, and quality evidence.
• Over 8 years of relevant experience.
• Background in embedded software testing, Linux system testing, BSP testing, kernel testing, platform validation, integration testing, or system-level software quality engineering.
• Strong knowledge of programming and operating systems.
• Proficiency in Linux, C/C++, scripting, debugging, test automation, embedded tools, and hardware/software integration.
• Experience in documenting test cases, defects, test outcomes, technical findings, validation evidence, and quality artifacts.
• Capacity to work collaboratively with engineering, product, support, DevOps, certification, and delivery teams.
• Preferred: experience with verification and validation, DO-178C, safety certification, software quality assurance, Design Assurance Level concepts, audit-readiness, or compliance documentation.
• Preferred: familiarity with Git, Polarion, Kubernetes, containers, simulation environments, DevOps testing workflows, Linux platforms, BSPs, and real-time systems.
• Preferred: experience in testing mission-critical embedded software in aerospace, defense, automotive, telecom, industrial, medical, or intelligent-edge environments.
