Senior Associate Director of Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with the development team to strategize, implement, and coordinate effective multi-year plans and strategies for potential gift prospects.

• Oversee a portfolio of 80 to 100 donors, including those capable of contributing over $250,000.

• Accountable for conducting 100 visits and achieving 180 to 300 moves each year.

• Operate independently and step in for the supervisor when necessary, employing independent judgment to identify and address issues.

• Ensure adherence to TNC policies and procedures as well as external requirements (donor/legal/IRS).

• Effectively communicate TNC's mission to diverse groups that are essential to the organization's overall success.

• Build a referral network as necessary and may oversee both formal and informal networks of volunteers.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of relevant experience or a comparable combination of education and experience.

• Proven ability to establish and maintain long-term relationships with fundraising constituents.

• Demonstrated experience in soliciting and securing gifts of $50,000 or more.

• Proficient in managing and tracking numerous prospects and donors simultaneously.

• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, ideally within a large non-profit organization.

• Familiarity with fundraising principles and practices.

• Background in current trends in charitable giving, including capital campaigns, major gifts, or planned giving through experience, coursework, or other training.
