This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
β’ Deliver strategic guidance to enhance the organization's dedication to reconciliation, Indigenous inclusion, cultural safety, and equitable service access.
β’ Cultivate respectful and reciprocal relationships with Indigenous communities.
β’ Promote collaboration and consultation with Indigenous partners in the design, execution, and assessment of programs.
β’ Act as the organization's representative in community forums and activities focused on reconciliation.
β’ Analyze utilization, access, and outcome data to detect disparities.
β’ A post-secondary degree in Indigenous Studies, Social Work, Public Health, Health Administration, or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
β’ Personal experience as an Indigenous individual and/or a profound, proven connection to Indigenous communities.
β’ Proven knowledge and comprehension of Indigenous communities in Canada.
β’ Between 8 to 10 years of cumulative experience in Indigenous engagement, health, social services, equity, reconciliation, or community development.
β’ A minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership or supervisory experience.
β’ Outstanding communication abilities, including skills in intercultural communication.
β’ Leadership in Indigenous Partnerships, Community Engagement, and Reconciliation.
β’ Development of access strategies centered around Indigenous perspectives.
β’ Alignment across functions and integration within the organization.
β’ Engagement in Leadership, Governance, and Indigenous Advisory roles.
