This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Implement the designated components of the quarterly financial production process.
• Assist in the development and upkeep of US GAAP-based projections, conducting reconciliations to ensure alignment between forecast results and the overall enterprise financial reporting framework.
• Create period-over-period variance analyses for specific financial forecast outputs, identifying and documenting primary drivers for review by senior team members.
• Conduct trend analysis to confirm that projected reporting items are consistent with, or can be clearly explained in relation to, actual reported results, with a particular emphasis on US GAAP and management basis outputs.
• Collect and integrate current business developments and management assumptions into forecast models as instructed, ensuring that inputs reflect the most recent information available.
• Implement controls as designed to guarantee the precision and auditability of all projection outputs.
• Maintain additional processes and analytical tools to broaden the coverage of the enterprise forecasting model.
• Contribute to initiatives aimed at automating and enhancing model architecture to diminish manual processes and increase scalability across forecasting outputs.
• Assist in the preparation of reporting materials for senior management and board-level presentations, including capital forecast summaries and variance commentary for management committees.
• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in finance, accounting, actuarial science, or other quantitative disciplines.
• Over 5 years of experience in financial reporting, FP&A, or a related field within the insurance/reinsurance sector.
• CPA, CFA, or an equivalent accounting designation preferred; progress in actuarial exams is also valued.
• Fundamental working knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles; experience with insurance financial reporting is a plus.
• Experience in financial modeling with a comfort level when handling large data sets preferred.
• Strong analytical and quantitative abilities with exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining data accuracy.
• Capability to manage multiple deliverables within established financial reporting timelines.
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly present financial results to internal stakeholders.
