Senior Area Sales Manager, Eyecare

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Achieve sales performance and key Brand Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to meet or surpass the district sales plan while adhering to budget constraints.

• Enhance resource utilization by leading, developing, and coaching the Sales Team, including the establishment of sales targets and incentive programs.

• Oversee Sales Force Management Systems and KPIs to consistently enhance district sales performance.

• Ensure continuous updates on the Sales Team's skills in medical, technical, and specialized in-field knowledge areas.

• Manage cross-functional cooperation and effectively coordinate multidisciplinary In Field Teams, including Key Account Management.

• Guarantee strategic and tactical alignment between In Field and Brand Team activities, facilitating timely and qualitative market intelligence information flow to optimize brand strategy and execution.

• Align district priorities, activities, and engagement plans with brand strategy and national strategic objectives to enhance strategic momentum and promote brand success.

• Monitor and consolidate outcomes of regional engagement and account plans to inform the brand planning process and anticipate market needs or changes.

• Continuously strive to meet the needs, expectations, and challenges of key stakeholders to build trusted relationships and achieve mutually beneficial agreements.

• Influence the perspectives of key stakeholders designated by Brand Teams (such as high-prescribing physicians and wholesalers) to maximize brand performance.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with over 9 years of experience.

• Compliance with any governmental and/or legal certification requirements as mandated by the respective country’s laws and regulations (if applicable).

• Relevant business experience with a demonstrated track record of success in biotech/pharma sales or sales management within at least one therapeutic area.

• Proven success in leading, managing, and coaching individuals and teams across functions.

• Established knowledge of the territory and relationships with key stakeholders.

• Ability to forge strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and other relevant stakeholders.

• Capability to think and plan strategically (including work plans, activities, timelines, targeting) while executing with excellence.

• Effectively operates, leads, and facilitates within a matrix organization/environment, with proficiency in English, both verbally and in writing (for all non-English speaking countries).

• Preferred recognition as a talent developer within the local biotech/pharma environment.

• Marketing and other commercial experiences within the biotech/pharma industry are preferred.
