Senior Architect – Chat Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design and specification of large-scale, intricate architectures, solutions, and infrastructure components for the enterprise Chat Platform.

• Prioritize the delivery of new features, ensuring high platform availability, minimal latency, and long-term scalability.

• Propel the use of cloud-native technologies, including GCP services, TypeScript, Node.js, Dialogflow, and GECX.

• Make strategic technical decisions for projects like IVA Voice, AI Agents, and integrations with Genesys contact centers.

• Offer technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to engineers, developers, and other team members.

• Lead the resolution of complex architectural and technical issues.

• Initiate and spearhead improvement initiatives to boost system reliability and performance.

• Define, clarify, and communicate both functional and non-functional requirements.

• Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholder groups.

• Assess emerging technologies in AI/ML, cloud infrastructure, and conversational interfaces.

• Align technical roadmaps with overarching business strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

• At least 5 years of experience in an IT role, including software engineering, system architecture, or cloud infrastructure.

• Minimum of 5 years working collaboratively with business teams to convert business capabilities into technical specifications.

• Practical experience in architecting and implementing Conversational AI platforms, particularly within the Google Cloud ecosystem (Dialogflow, GECX, AI Agents) is preferred.

• Experience integrating chat platforms with enterprise contact center solutions such as Genesys is preferred.

• Knowledge of the health insurance or regulated industry is preferred.

• Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), encompassing Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Firestore, and BigQuery.

• Familiarity with cloud-native architecture and Terraform / Infrastructure as Code.

• Experience with Gemini Enterprise for Customer Experience (GECX), Google Dialogflow, AI Agents, IVA Voice, and Genesys integration.

• Strong skills in TypeScript, Node.js, WebSockets, and the design of distributed systems.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and strategies for observability, monitoring, and logging.

• Understanding of high-throughput/low-latency system design, application security, and authentication methodologies.

• Preferred certifications include Google Cloud Architect Certification, Enterprise Architect (SCEA), and Project Management / Agile Certifications.
