This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Act as the principal architect for mid-sized federal civilian projects ($25M–$100M TCV) and play a vital role in larger projects ($100M+) under the guidance of a Principal Architect.
• Create enterprise architectures that span cloud solutions, application modernization, cybersecurity, data/AI, IT operations, and managed services specifically designed for customer missions.
• Lead technical workstreams during solutioning sessions.
• Collaborate with capture teams, partners, and subject matter experts to formulate integrated solution components.
• Write and review technical proposal volumes ensuring they are compelling and compliant with evaluation criteria.
• Generate architecture artifacts such as system diagrams, integration strategies, transition plans, and technical narratives.
• Conduct competitive technical analyses and provide differentiators to enhance solution positioning.
• Interact with federal customers to grasp mission requirements, technology landscapes, and strategic goals.
• Assess Peraton Labs capabilities, partner technologies, and emerging tools for potential inclusion in solutions.
• Present technical solutions to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field.
• At least 12 years of professional experience.
• Minimum of 8 years in enterprise IT solution architecture or technical leadership roles.
• Over 3 years as a solution architect on enterprise-level opportunities ($25M+ TCV) with substantial solution design accountability.
• Architectural experience in at least three domains, including cloud, application modernization, cybersecurity/zero trust, data/AI-ML, IT operations, DevSecOps, or enterprise platforms.
• Proven history of contributing to successful competitive proposals and translating customer needs into actionable solutions.
• Experience in presenting architectures to internal leadership, gate review panels, and federal clients.
• Familiarity with federal acquisition processes, evaluation methodologies, and compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST, CMMC).
• Exceptional technical writing and communication skills for both technical and executive audiences.
• US Citizenship is mandatory.
• Capability to obtain and sustain a Public Trust clearance.
• Preferred: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
• Preferred: Professional certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect Associate/Professional, Azure Solutions Architect, CISSP, TOGAF, or SAFe Architect.
• Preferred: Experience working with federal civilian agencies.
• Preferred: Knowledge in generative AI, agentic AI, post-quantum cryptography, AIOps, and other cutting-edge technologies.
• Preferred: Background in ITIL, Agile/SAFe delivery, DevSecOps CI/CD, and price-to-win analysis.
