Application Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Establish, evaluate, and prioritize modernization roadmaps while taking into account cost and risk factors.

• Develop software frameworks, systems, products, system interfaces, and prototypes for business applications.

• Detect and address weaknesses in framework design.

• Offer technical guidance to the application development team.

• Conduct design and code evaluations.

• Uphold consistent enterprise-wide standards for application design.

• Work in collaboration with stakeholders to ensure architecture aligns with business needs and project objectives.

• Generate and maintain documentation related to software architecture, application design methodologies, component integration, and testing protocols.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive architectural experience with significant customer change and transformation initiatives.

• Comprehensive understanding and expertise in hardware and software, including interconnectivity among platforms.

• The Open Group - Master Certified Architect certification or equivalent (preferred).

• Previous hands-on experience in a mainframe setting (preferred).

• Involvement in mainframe projects that include Modernize On, Integrate With, and Move Off (preferred).

• Strong knowledge of z/OS and IBM Software Products, along with familiarity with third-party mainframe applications (preferred).
