This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Act as the principal or lead architect on Ingeno's most intricate and high-risk client projects.
• Serve as the technical escalation point for delivery teams encountering architecture-level challenges.
• Guide solution architecture during the Strategic Discovery and Solution Design phases for key accounts.
• Conduct technical risk assessments and provide approval on statements of work that exceed a specified complexity level.
• Take ownership of and continuously refine Ingeno's five-phase Development Process Framework.
• Facilitate architecture reviews for projects that exceed a particular size or complexity threshold.
• Manage phase-level key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance measurement frameworks.
• Convert lessons learned from retrospectives and post-mortems into actionable process enhancements.
• Standardize estimation techniques across all delivery teams.
• Review and authorize estimates that are above a designated threshold prior to client communication.
• Formulate AI utilization strategies for both internal operations and client initiatives.
• Enhance product and software development workflows through the application of AI.
• Establish guidelines and best practices for responsible AI utilization, including the handling of sensitive client data.
• Set integration and interoperability standards for LLMs, RAG, vector databases, and machine learning models.
• Oversee decisions regarding building versus purchasing AI tools and infrastructure.
• Ensure consistent AI usage standards are maintained throughout the organization.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to define company technology strategies and assist in their implementation.
• Contribute to the advancement of the technical competency ladder.
• Provide technical solutions and risk evaluations for statements of work related to complex sales opportunities.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Over 12 years of experience in software engineering, including substantial time spent in architecture roles.
• Demonstrated success in architecting complex, production-quality systems within a client services or consulting framework.
• Hands-on experience integrating AI/ML components (such as LLMs, RAG, and vector databases) into production environments.
• Proven experience in standardizing engineering practices across multiple teams (SDLC, estimation, code quality).
• Bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written.
• Experience in regulated or high-compliance sectors (such as defense or healthcare) is advantageous.
• Excellent communication abilities, comfortable collaborating with both hands-on delivery teams and executive leadership.
• A pragmatic mindset that balances the rigor of standardization with the autonomy and speed of delivery teams.
• Credible technical leadership while maintaining a hands-on approach.
• Capability to manage a dual mandate and preserve time for both aspects of the role.
