📋 Description

• Design and refine the logic for conversational and order-taking agents across various restaurant brands.

• Tackle complex challenges such as turn-taking, background noise elimination, and managing side conversations.

• Develop and enhance the evaluation infrastructure.

• Collaborate closely with POS and menu data to ensure that agent recommendations, substitutions, and pricing remain accurate as brands, menus, and integrations evolve in real time.

• Take ownership of and continuously enhance the end-to-end AI engine that powers the agents.

• Investigate, test, and implement innovative AI techniques.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in software engineering.

• Extensive hands-on experience in training machine learning models from the ground up and deploying them at scale.

• Proficient in Python with a strong ability to work within a real backend codebase, rather than just using notebooks.

• Experience in designing evaluation systems for outputs that are non-deterministic.

• Proven ability to transform ambiguous quality issues into measurable metrics and effective solutions.

• Strong discernment in deciding when to generalize agent behavior versus tailoring it to specific brands or customers.

• Excellent communication skills to articulate reasoning and engage others effectively.

• Bonus: Experience with real-time or voice conversational agents, revenue or recommendation systems, or managing multi-tenant prompts/configurations.
