This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as a reliable AI consultant for the client and their health plan and payer customers.
• Facilitate discovery and solution-design workshops.
• Create AI adoption roadmaps that align with client priorities, readiness, and business value.
• Provide guidance to executive and operational stakeholders on the responsible adoption of AI in regulated healthcare settings.
• Assist in business development and pre-sales activities, which include prospect discussions, presentations, solution development, and responses to RFPs.
• Steer initiatives from conceptualization and pilot development through to production deployment and continuous improvement.
• Oversee the design and implementation of AI and automation solutions tailored for payer workflows.
• Craft solutions that incorporate large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, workflow automation, copilots, and agentic orchestration.
• Set up governance, human-in-the-loop controls, and safeguards for AI-enabled workflows.
• Assess AI platforms, technologies, and vendors for their fit, feasibility, security, compliance, scalability, and return on investment.
• Define solution architectures that integrate responsibly with client systems and operational environments.
• Develop repeatable frameworks and accelerators for effective delivery across client engagements.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and external vendors during solution design and implementation.
• Advance the client’s AI solution portfolio by identifying offerings, capabilities, partnerships, and opportunities for differentiation.
• Collaborate with technology, delivery, compliance, and commercial teams.
• Establish responsible-AI frameworks that address privacy, security, HIPAA compliance, reliability, governance, and organizational change.
• Define and track success metrics while communicating results to stakeholders.
• Keep updated on emerging AI technologies, payer-industry trends, and regulatory changes.
• A minimum of eight years of experience in technology consulting, digital transformation, solution delivery, or a similar field, including substantial recent experience with applied AI.
• Proven track record of designing and delivering AI and automation solutions in production settings, rather than merely prototypes or proofs of concept.
• Direct experience in payer, managed-care, or health plan operations.
• Strong grasp of utilization management, claims processing, care management, member engagement, or related administrative workflows.
• Practical expertise in large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, workflow automation, copilots, and agentic AI patterns.
• Experience in designing solutions for regulated environments, addressing privacy, security, HIPAA compliance, reliability, and responsible AI.
• Demonstrated ability to advise executive stakeholders and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience in supporting pre-sales activities, client presentations, solution development, or RFP responses.
• Capability to link business challenges to actionable AI use cases and lead efforts from strategy to deployment.
• Background in coordinating cross-functional teams and technology vendors.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
