AI Enablement Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Serve as a hands-on technical partner for Coder team members utilizing Smart AI.

• Collaborate with employees across the organization to grasp their needs, requirements, workflows, and challenges.

• Respond to inquiries in Slack, meetings, and working sessions regarding Smart AI tools, models, prompts, harnesses, development environments, and recommended methodologies.

• Recognize recurring needs and convert them into requirements for the Smart AI roadmap.

• Develop and enhance reusable journeys, skills, templates, system instructions, and other established paths.

• Contribute to infrastructure improvements for smoother, more reliable, and consistent internal AI development.

• Work collaboratively with users using Claude Code and other AI-assisted development workflows.

• Enhance the dedicated development environment for vibe coding, including integrations, connectors, APIs, model access, and supporting infrastructure.

• Transform one-off inquiries into reusable solutions.

• Collaborate with the Smart AI Program lead on prioritizing and executing the roadmap.

• Conduct office hours, workshops, lunch and learns, and enablement sessions.

• Produce guidance, examples, and documentation for Smart AI functionalities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in technology, ideally within a startup setting.

• An engineering background or significant hands-on experience with tools like Claude Code.

• Insight into how software is constructed, orchestrated, and deployed.

• Capacity to swiftly learn new tools and technologies through self-directed study and experimentation.

• A high level of empathy for users.

• Demonstrated ability to identify user obstacles and devise practical solutions.

• A tinkering mindset focused on enhancement, automation, and simplification.

• PM-like pattern recognition skills to detect recurring signals and establish repeatable golden paths.

• Strong communication abilities across various technical skill levels.

• Comfort in transitioning between requirement gathering and implementation.

• Judicious in distinguishing singular user issues from systemic problems.

• Familiarity with Coder or remote development tools, such as Gitpod, DevPod, or GitHub Codespaces.

• Experience in business analysis, learning and development, or developer relations.

• Background in supporting an internal developer platform, AI enablement program, developer community, or technical center of excellence.

• Knowledge of Model Context Protocol (MCP), API integrations, or connecting AI tools to Slack, GitHub, Salesforce, or internal databases.

• Experience in crafting technical workshops, documentation, examples, or enablement programs.
