Senior Application Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Identifying security vulnerabilities, showcasing their business implications, and communicating the risks associated with specific vulnerabilities to enhance prioritization initiatives.

• Conduct penetration testing and design assessments to uncover vulnerabilities and insecure designs, collaborating with engineering and product teams to create secure product features.

• Develop and maintain internal tools to streamline security processes, execute SAST and DAST testing on the Brex platform, and promote secure development practices.

• Foster a culture of collaborative security excellence through technical leadership, learning sessions, and mentorship within the team and the broader organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in an Application Security or similar position.

• Proficient in identifying vulnerabilities in intricate systems and illustrating business impact through tailored attack chains.

• Familiarity with a diverse range of secure development practices, including threat modeling, developer training, and incident response.

• Proficient in Python, scripting languages, and AI/agentic workflows for automating tasks, creating tools, and enhancing productivity.

• A collaborative attitude combined with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
