Senior Application Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the code and pull-request enforcement system for both AI and human-generated code modifications.

• Establish and reinforce security checkpoints for code created by AI.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure secure feature design and operational practices.

• Engage with various teams including Security, Engineering, and GRC for a cohesive approach.

• Spearhead initiatives focused on threat modeling and enhancing developer capabilities.

• Guarantee that compliance and security training are integrated into the design workflow.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of engineering experience.

• At least 4 years in a focused role related to AI Application Security or Product Security within a SaaS or cloud-native organization.

• Recent and hands-on development experience.

• Proficiency in at least two programming languages: Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, Java/Kotlin, or Go.

• Familiarity with Terraform, Helm, and Kubernetes manifests.

• Practical experience with agentic AI and MCP development.

• Experience managing a SAST/SCA pipeline in a production environment at scale.

• Proven track record of leading a threat modeling or developer security training initiative.

• Ability to think in layered security concepts.
