This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with regional sales managers, MELCO, manufacturers’ representatives, EPCs, and utility clients to discover and secure new business opportunities.
• Build and sustain relationships with significant customers, consultants, and EPC organizations across the nation.
• Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations that highlight MEPPI’s capabilities and value proposition.
• Prepare and present both technical and commercial budgetary and firm proposals in response to customer inquiries and RFQs.
• Assist in proposal strategy, pricing formulation, contract negotiations, and discussions with customers.
• Investigate market pricing and competitive trends to create effective commercial strategies.
• Define and design technical solutions that align customer needs with MEPPI and MELCO product offerings.
• Formulate strategies for complex substation and transformer applications leveraging engineering expertise and market insights.
• Partner with engineering teams, manufacturing facilities, and suppliers to craft tailored solutions.
• Engage with factories, MELCO overseas marketing teams, MEPPI engineering personnel, and third-party suppliers.
• Provide support to other sales engineers through technical guidance and proposal development.
• Organize technical sales data, preliminary designs, and bid documentation.
• Create customer presentations, sales tools, and technical marketing resources.
• Identify areas for product enhancements and innovative solutions.
• Contribute to market share growth by positioning MEPPI products as preferred solutions.
• 6-9 years of technical sales experience in electrical equipment, power transformers, substation equipment, or related utility products.
• Demonstrated success in developing customer relationships and supporting intricate technical sales efforts.
• Knowledgeable in power transformers, substation equipment, and electric utility infrastructure.
• Familiarity with substation layouts, including electrical, structural, and civil engineering aspects.
• Strong skills in proposal development and technical sales.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication abilities.
• Proficient in building relationships with customers, EPCs, manufacturers, and suppliers.
• Experience in negotiating commercial terms and customer agreements.
• Competent in Microsoft Office applications and technical sales tools.
• Capable of managing multiple opportunities and priorities concurrently.
