Lead Sales Engineering Specialist – Security

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Assist sales and field sales engineering teams with in-depth knowledge of Fivetran’s internal security operations, platform capabilities, and the security domain.

• Provide prompt and precise responses to prospect and customer security questionnaires utilizing internal tools.

• Collaborate with Legal and AppSec to uphold internal libraries for security questionnaires.

• Spearhead documentation and internal training initiatives.

• Amplify specialized knowledge throughout the sales engineering division.

• Work alongside Product and Engineering teams to ensure solutions meet customer requirements.

• Directly engage with prospects and clients regarding security architecture assessments and compliance conversations.

• Gradually increase responsibility for customer-facing security interactions.

• Remain updated on security technologies and industry trends.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience as a security administrator, backend engineer, field CISO, or in IT services within an enterprise or similarly intricate setting.

• In-depth knowledge of contemporary cloud and on-premise network architectures.

• Proficiency in connectivity methods including SSH, Reverse SSH, VPN, and PrivateLink.

• Strong expertise in data security.

• Capable of articulating Fivetran’s comprehensive security stance and influencing security stakeholders at all levels.

• Experience employing generative AI to enhance and scale daily workflows.

• Familiarity with trust center management platforms and security questionnaire automation tools.

• Knowledge of Fivetran’s data integration platform, deployment strategies, and security features.

• Acquainted with AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.

• Understanding of firewalls, intrusion detection systems, data loss prevention systems, and encryption technologies.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, hybrid deployment models, and self-hosted deployment strategies.

• Knowledge of frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI, HIPAA, HITRUST, and GDPR.

• Familiarity with programming languages like Java, SQL, and Python is an advantage.
